Boiler circulator
« Dato: Aug 27, 2017, 11:51 »
Hej!
Sorry, I don't speak danish  :-\
I have two circuits, one with underfloor and one with radiators. Each has its own circulator that is driven by appropriate temperature sensor on each pipe, using weather compensation. The boiler circ. (the one immediately after the boiler) is to keep the return-shunt alive and to load the DWH tank (300L). Which temperature sensor drives the boiler circulator? Boiler: Blackstar.
Thanks!

The boiler temperature sensor can control a pump.
Look into menu pump.

Is it connected to StokerCloud?
Do you have a link to StokerCloud?

Of course it is online https://stokercloud.dk/v3/#/tsoukase/main-page.

There is a problem: Lets suppose the boiler circ is driven by the boiler temp.
If the boiler is not so hot yet (circ stopped), but the other circulators are working, then cold water can run into the boiler, because the shunt is not working. Also, if the boiler is hot and the shunt-valve is closed, then the circ will function without reason. Can the boiler circulator be driven by the boiler temp AND the shunt-valve?

Connect all pumps to the same output.
Then the controler can turn on when there is hot vater to circulate,
and turn off when the rest heat is used.
Optionally, weather compensation can be used to control the floor heating.

Your set boiler temperature is too low.
You will not be able to maintain 55 gr on the shunt.

Minimum power could be 10%
It provides a larger regulatory area.
If it can not hold fire at 10% it must have more than 3.5 kW

Now, that's embarrassing. There is no return-shunt because the seller didn't add it at first install. They do not know or care a lot here. :(  Until now there were only radiators and the return temp was about 45 C, but this winter the underfloor is added and the shunt is a MUST! I ask here because the seller cannot help.

I didn't know that many pumps can be controlled at once. This is very good suggestion! :)
Is there any other option to control the pumps? There is: Menu -> Weather -> Outlet house pump. What is it and at which temperatures does it open/close?

The current settings are summer-values to heat the DHW/day. During the winter they are changed!

Thank you for the link!
I have consulted the online manuals. They are very informative, but don't show the pumps' electric controlling.

At the manual says: Weather -> Outlet house pump -> "Specify which output is to be used for the house pump", but there is no Start temp value, as at Boiler -> Pump . So, I hope to clear this out.  :)

You can use the maximum power to start / stop the pump in the weather-compensated circuit.  :)

At the weather-settings, I thought, the max power has to do only with the boiler. How can it control the pump?

Correct, it controls the boiler.
When turned on, the output of the weather compensation turns on, too,
when turned off, the output is turned off in the weather compensation,
in connection with the temperatures and effects selected.

I can see you have found a very good post on the subject.  :)
